La’s Kitchen is one of those places for me. I’ve been returning for nearly ten years, whether it’s celebrating good news, catching up with friends, hosting business dinners, or simply enjoying a bottle of wine on a relaxed evening.
Why I Keep Returning
I’ve been coming here for nearly ten years, and one of the biggest reasons is the wine.
La’s Kitchen has more than ten temperature-controlled wine cellars and one of the most thoughtfully curated wine lists I’ve found in Seoul. Even many premium bottles are offered at prices that feel surprisingly reasonable.
Combined with consistently good food and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s the kind of place I can confidently recommend whether I’m meeting close friends or hosting a business dinner.
What I Recommend
Start with a bottle of wine.
The wine selection is the main reason to visit, and the staff are happy to recommend bottles based on your taste and budget.
For food, I enjoy the Korean-style fried chicken, tteokbokki and steak. They’re perfect for sharing over a long conversation.
Atmosphere
Fresh flowers throughout the restaurant create a warm, romantic atmosphere that changes with the seasons. It feels elegant but never intimidating, making it equally suitable for friends, couples, or business dinners.
Before You Go
Reservations are recommended on Friday and Saturday. If you’re looking for a relaxed dinner where conversation matters as much as the food, this is one of my favorite places in Gangnam.
